Karaoke in Bologna every night from 10:30 pm
At Empire Bologna, Via Zamboni 24/A, dancing karaoke runs from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:30 pm until closing. Free entry, no sign-up: hand your song request to the host and sing. On Friday and Saturday karaoke is downstairs while a DJ set plays upstairs. For a table, book online; for information, message us on WhatsApp.

Karaoke at Empire is not a one-night-a-week theme: it happens almost every evening, Tuesday to Sunday, starting at 10:30 pm and running until we close, between 1:00 am and 3:00 am depending on the day.
We call it dancing karaoke because there is no stage separating singer from crowd: whoever sings stands in the middle of the room, everyone else dances, claps and usually joins in on the chorus. You do not need to sing well, you need to join in.
How it works: you arrive, get a drink, pick a song and hand the request to the host. Requests are queued in order, so the earlier you hand yours in the sooner you sing. On busy nights, choose as soon as you walk in.

A few practical tips. In a group, pick two different songs: one to sing together and one solo, so you are more likely to get on early. For an obscure track, ask the staff first whether it is available. And if it is your first time, Tuesday and Wednesday are the calmer nights to break the ice, while Friday and Saturday feel like a party.
The kitchen is open until 30 minutes before closing time: burgers with fries, piadine and fried food can be ordered while karaoke runs. On tap: Guinness, Bass, Beck's, Franziskaner Weisse, Goose Island IPA, Hoegaarden, Leffe, Stella Artois and Tennent's Super.
Before karaoke, the same screens show sport: a Champions League game often ends at 11:00 pm and the room goes straight from cheering to the microphone. That is part of why Empire works for a whole evening, not just an hour.
Karaoke is also the most requested format for graduation parties, birthdays and stag or hen nights: if you are organising something, ask for information on WhatsApp and we will agree on the day, the numbers and the space.
